Who created the dream?

Have you ever asked yourself – Who is the creator of your own conditions and experiences?

If it is true that God dwells in each of us, then it is true that we can create our reality with our imagination, for god thinks and create.

“And they will make for me a sanctuary(mikdash), and I will dwell in the midst of you. ” (Exodus 25:8)

“Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? (Corinthians 3:16)

“What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said “I will dwell in them and walk among them.” (Corinthians 6:16)

God’s tabernacle is something made from skin, and moves around. The tabernacle is described as “a portable dwelling place for God”. According to Neville Goddard, the tabernacle (the sanctuary and resting place of God) represents man.

“We are made in the image of God, and like the tabernacle we can move about. Just as the children of Israel could look through the main entranceway to the outer courtyard and see what was going on in the tabernacle courtyard, so can other people see our actions. Likewise, just as the children of Israel could not look into the tent (made of skin) to see what was going on, so other people could not see into our soul and mind/spirit to see what is within.” (source Roy A Reinhold)

In Job 29:4, we are told “As I was in the days of my youth, when God was secretly in my tabernacle”.

I would like to share a dream that I had many years ago. One night I had a dream, and in the dream, I suddenly knew I was dreaming, but I was still participating in that dreamworld. In curiosity, I asked the person next to me, who is the creator of this world? And the person looked at me and said ” If this is your dream, who else could be the creator of this world?” Immediately after he said that, I thought to myself “If this is my own dream, then these things in this dream must be props! (like the Truman Show)” I took a book from a cart (sort of from a vendor’s book stall cart), and opened a book. I expected to see a book with blank pages in it (since it must be a prop). But to my surprise, each page had cursive writing neatly and beautifully written. Impressive and beautiful calligraphy! I was reading someone’s journal. The words were intelligent. I asked the people around me, “Who wrote this book? There is a past here? Someone wrote this book in the past?” And one of them said “if this is your dream, who do you think had written it?” It was then I realised how powerful our consciousness is. When consciousness imagines, it can create an entire imagination or dream world with such minute detail, that if you were to change your footstep and turn the other direction while walking, an entire new scene would be instantly created for your experience. Your consciousness is a ‘machine’ that creates your reality for your experience.

Then the scene faded and I was in the darkness all around me. Suddenly a very bright light was in front of me. I asked, “who turned on the light?”. And a voice within me said “You did… you did…you did”. I awoke to find I had fallen asleep with my room ceiling light on. The dream is a message to me that there is no other cause than Self.

Reflect on it. If you create your own experience, then who is the Cause? Who created it? And if you are the cause, then you must ask yourself – what AM I creating?
