The Power Of The Conscious Mind
The Conscious Mind plays an important part in manifesting and creation. The main function of the Conscious Mind is to make decision and choices. It has the power of selection. We use our conscious mind to determine what we think about and also shape the content of our imagination. Whatever you do with your Conscious Mind, will then form a pattern in your subconscious mind. You are making an imprint on your subconscious. Thus, it is important that the Conscious Mind make wise decisions in order to produce beneficial results.
The Conscious Mind is the master of the Subconscious Mind. The subconscious acts as a manager or worker to perform the work necessary to achieve goals set by the Conscious Mind. But nonetheless, both the conscious and subconscious must work as a team to produce the right results. There is in reality only one mind, and Conscious and Subconscious are different faculties or functions of the one mind. we make the distinction of conscious or subconscious with the intent to better understand each faculty.

Manifesting A Dream Car Using Mind Power
It is incredible, but it is true. I will relate to you another instance how imagination is used to manifest what you want. Early last week, I was thinking about buying my dream car, a Mercedes C class. I imagined I was driving it, and used the speed up method as I described in my book. Frankly its been my dream car for years, but I didn’t use my mind power to attract one to me. I didn’t know how I was going to afford one, as everytime I thought about the car in the past, I would tell myself it’s out of my price range. But here I was, imagining I have the car and that it was mine. Then I forgot all about it.
Come Saturday, I was at lunch with my sister and mum, and I suddenly had this idea we should go check out the Mercedes Benz showroom. I had no intention to really buy one, because I didn’t have all the funds. I just wanted to admire the cars in the showroom.
While looking at different cars in the showroom, the salesperson came to talk about the features of the car. We were looking at the CLC, which is a sports coupe version of the C-class. As I was sitting in it, she suddenly said that all the CLC demo cars were on special promotion, and this is the final week of the promotion. She named a figure and it was indeed surprisingly low priced for a luxury car. They were discounting the normal price by 25%. It would include the car, the registration, the stamp duty and also the first year’s insurance. This made the car within my affordability range!
So I asked if they had silver or grey colour, and the salesperson said no. She said over the past 2 weekends these have been selling like hot cakes. They have sold 20 of them, and the only ones left were 2 black ones with sunroof, and a grey one without a sun roof. I was there for a long time, considering how I liked grey or silver with a sunroof, but all they had were black with sunroof. As their office was closing, I booked a black one with sunroof as it was the 2nd last one available, thinking actually black didn’t look too bad after all. Well they said the car will arrive next week. It will be a new car, but they will sell it at the same price as the demo. This new batch was meant to be demo cars, but because I book them before they arrive, I get them as brand new.
Then last night, as I was thinking about my new car, I deliberately imagined it was a silver one, instead of black.

This morning, guess what happened?! As I was getting dressed to go to work, I received a sms from the salesperson. She said, after this morning’s meeting with her team, she now has one last silver CLCs with sunroof. I called her immediately to ask, and she said someone who booked a silver CLC last week from the same batch that hasn’t arrived, now they wanted to get a black one instead. Would I take it? It is the last silver one. I said yes, definitely. Now I have my dream car, at affordable price (25% discount),with a sun roof, brand new instead of demo, and yes it is silver!

Everyday Use Of Manifesting and Subconscious Mental Influence
Just browsing through my diary and I recalled this incident. In 2005 when I moved to Sydney for work, I got the lease to my first rental apartment with 2 rooms, which I attracted by using my imagination (the story of how I got it was revealed in an earlier blog entry). I tried to rent out the 2nd room to reduce the amount of rent I was paying. And I wanted to rent the room for $215 per week. I determined the qualities of the type of tenant I wanted. I wanted to have someone clean, honest, quiet, preferably a student and a non-smoker. The technique I used was one of a method I now teach in my book ‘Secret Techniques For Manifesting’.
Within a few days, a young male international student called me, expressing interest to inspect the apartment. That night he came and he was the type of person that fitted my criteria for a good tenant. But as he was about to leave he began to negotiate the rent. He said he only wanted to spend $200 on rent each week, and asked that we split the utility bills. He was a very good negotiator and as I didn’t want to lose such a good prospective tenant, I reluctantly agreed. We agreed to sign the contract and for him to get the keys from me on a Thursday. It was then a Monday.
After he left, I reconsidered it and thought $200 per week was a bit low, considering I owned all the furniture in the apartment, and I had paid a lot of money on the security bond to the agent to secure the lease. I did more mental work over the next 2 days.
On Thursday, I decided I should renegotiate with him when I meet him again that night, to try to get the original rent I advertised for.
But something amazing happened. I met him on the main street to pass him the keys and to collect his deposit money (he was scheduled to move in on that Saturday). I was all ready to renegotiate the rent with him. But before I could open my mouth to get to the topic, he said,
“Charlie, I have something I want to tell you. I want to pay you $215 rent that you asked for.”
I was stunned by his statement, and I was very curious why he changed his mind. I asked him why.
He continued, “I spoke with my mum yesterday on the phone about renting this room, and she told me to pay you the rent you originally asked for, to include the utility bills in the rent. Is this ok? “
I didn’t even have to open my mouth to renegotiate at all. My subconscious mind synchronized the result, by getting his mum to tell him what I was mentally telling him.

Using Your Subconscious To Control Events And Mental Influence
When you train your mind to function at a deeper state, you can make your intents manifest at a shorter interval of time. When you have learned how to enter into that deeper state of concentration, you can give your subconscious an instruction and it will be carried out to the letter for you – in a very mysterious way. You can use it in such a way that you subconsciously control other people’s action and thoughts, to solve your everyday problems and to achieve your dreams.
It was the year 2005, when I first moved to Sydney to work, I was temporarily renting a room from a girl who needed someone to fill in one of her empty room in her apartment. Her name was Carol and her boyfriend rented the apartment for her, while he lived in another apartment. To help her pay the rent, she sublet the 2nd room out to make ends meet. I had an agreement with her that my rent also covered the utility bills.
When I found another place to live, I told Carol I wanted to move out in 2 weeks time. She agreed to it and said she would return my bond money when I moved out. But 3 days before I was moving out, her boyfriend came, sat me down and told me because I was not giving him 1 months notice, he was not going to return me the security bond. I reasoned with him that my agreement with Carol stated that only 2 weeks was required. He disagreed, saying she was “stupid”, and that he was the holder of the lease and that he should have the final decision. He said he would give my bond back if I found someone to take over my lease. He said he had been posting advertisements and notices in universities for 1 week, and not one person responded. Because I was moving out in 2 days time, I didn’t have any time to spare. I quickly put up notices in the city to try to get someone.
I affirmed that I have found the perfect person to take over my lease. The first day, nothing happened. On the 2nd day, I began to get worried. But I kept doing mental work, using various methods (you can learn some of the methods in my book Secret Techniques For Manifesting). That evening, a British backpacker called me wanting to inspect the apartment immediately. I showed him the place and he agreed to move in the next day – the same day that I was supposed to move out. And he agreed to pay $20 more per week, as I tried to help Carol out by advertising a higher rent.
But in the morning of the following day, when I informed Carol’s boyfriend that I have kept my part of the bargain to find a tenant to take over my lease, I asked him to confirm if he would be keeping his end of the bargain by returning my full security bond of 2 weeks rent. He said “I’ll talk to you this evening”.
That statement worried me. My hunch told me that he was playing some game and would not be keeping his end of the bargain. I was at my office when I called him, and I decided to take things into my control. Sitting at my desk, I went into a deep state of mind for a while and instructed my subconscious mind to “ensure that I get my full bond back tonight if he tries to break his end of the bargain”. I made sure my subconscious mind understood the instruction.
That night, after I moved my things out of the apartment, I went back to the apartment to get my bond back from Carol’s boyfriend. He was there, but Carol wasn’t there. So he said, “Tell you what Charlie, I have decided to keep your bond. That will cover for the utility bills for your share.” (eventhough he knew from Carol that my rent included utlities).
As I started a heated debate with him, suddenly an inner voice in my mind said to me:
“Stop arguing and get out of here. You have the money! You have the bond money from the British guy, and he knows you have it but he has temporarily forgotten to collect it from you! Stop the conversation and leave now!”
It was a voice I heard internally, as though my subconscious was giving me direct instructions what to do. Then I remembered, a day earlier, when the British backpacker expressed interest to move in, Carol’s boyfriend asked for bond money ( amounting to 2 weeks rent) from him. But the British guy said he needed to go to the ATM to get the cash. And as he went to find a ATM, Carol and her boyfriend decided to go out for dinner and told me to collect the bond money on their behalf and pass it to them the next day. But now in his state of greed to confiscate my bond and to break his end of the bargain, he has totally forgotten to ask from me the British guy’s bond money, although he has acknowledged to the British guy that the bond is paid! In summary, he thought he could swindle me of my bond money, while in effect he had forgotten to collect a slightly larger sum of money from me.
I followed my subconscious prompting, stopped arguing and left. As I was leaving I said “I won’t forget this! You think you’ve won, but you haven’t.” As I was waiting for a taxi downstairs with my bags, he came down arrogantly to walk to his car, thinking he had won. That night, I was amazed how the event had unfolded and my instruction to my subconscious was carried out to the letter. I now had my bond back, despite his intention not to return it to me.
The next day, Carol phoned me and she was very apologetic for her boyfriend’s bad behaviour, told me she would return the bond money to me herself. I then told her I still had the British tenant’s bond money which was more than my own bond, and I would return to her the difference.
If you recall the instruction that I gave to my subconscious, to synchronise the sequence of events so that I would get my full bond money back from Carol boyfriend who was intending to break his promise to return it to me. As the events unfolded, he developed temporary amnesia about the bond money that he asked me to collect from his new tenant on his behalf, thereby indirectly leading me to get hold of the bond money that he owed me.
This is an example of how mental influence works. Your subconscious mind can do wonders, it can protect you from dishonest people and make things right. It can help you solve problems in your daily life.

The gateway to the subconscious
Our subconscious mind is the part of our mind that contains our thoughts, sense experience and emotions that we have been through since we were born. It is the storage facility of our consciousness. The subconscious never forgets (unless it is overwritten), and it is the storehouse of memory. The things we attract in our life is the thought contents that are still operating on this sub-level of our mind. Our life is our subconscious mind pushed out, or projected outwards. Our task then, to be creators who shape our own destiny, is to find effective ways to influence our subconscious.
The subconscious, although powerful, intelligent and vast, is the feminine aspect of our mind. It is submissive to command of our conscious mind. Our conscious mind or logical mind, is the decision maker. But too often we go in life confused because we are influenced by the limitations reported to us by our 5 senses. We become reliant on facts. We see limitations and obstructions. If we are unaware of the unlimited powers and capabilities of our subconscious mind, we will not be open to the possibilities that outside the knowing of our limited 5 senses.
Our 5 senses are confined by space and time. We cannot see, hear, smell, touch, taste anything that is outside of this present moment. Our conscious mind knows only the information that it has gained from the 5 senses in the past and present. Anything outside of that is not accessible by the conscious mind. The task we should ideally give to our conscious mind is the part of the decision maker. “What do you want?”
But how do we get to the destination? How do we achieve the goal we have set? If the steps are clearly known and logical, then the task can be taken up by our conscious mind. But most of our goals are so far fetched from our current limited view, that it becomes an overwhelming task of bring the right target, the right place, the right person, the right event, right timing – all of these need to be synchronized to open up the doorway to the fulfillment of your goal. That big task can never be organized by your conscious mind. You have to leave it to your subconscious.
For those who have not yet learned to focus their thoughts and attention, or to meditate, the convenient way to influence your subconscious is right before you sleep at night. By impressing your subconscious with your goal and target, you are give it 6 to 8 hours to work on your goal without the interruptions and doubts from your conscious mind. While you sleep, your conscious mind is in a state of rest. Very often, one good sign that your subconscious is working on a goal is when you start to dream about your goal. If in your night dreams you find yourself in the achievement of your goal, it is often a very good indicator. For example, in 2005 I wanted to get an apartment in the city center right in the heart of Sydney. I did my mental work and one month later, one morning I had a dream that I was living in a different apartment, with long narrow entry and cream coloured walls. That day in the afternoon, through a series of coincidences and what you would call ‘fate’, I found an apartment with all the characteristics I wanted – right in the city center, high level with terrific views of the city and water and lower than market rent. Most amazingly, when I stepped into the apartment, as I looked back to the entry door that I just came in, it was the exact scene I saw in my dream that morning – an entry door at the end of a narrow hallway, with cream coloured walls.

The luminous thought energy balls
After a stressful and hectic week, I had a bad case of flu over the easter weekend. Spent the weekend in bed drifting in and out of sleep. My body was tired, but my mind had enough rest. So as I drifted in and out of sleep, I was in a state of reverie.
I recall this happened in one of them. I was in the great stillness in my mind, and suddenly bright multicoloured light energy balls appeared in the scene. In curiosity I reached out to one of them. As I touched that energy ball, a past event in my life flashed before my mind. Instantly the whole event and its effects on my thoughts, feelings, psychology, beliefs all replayed itself- the event and my reactions to the event flashed in my consciousness in its entirety in an instant. As I pulled myself back and disassociated myself from it, I could see many floating luminous light balls of thought. Touching another thought ball lightly accessed another memory.
It is then I understand these are the thought balls that the author Robert Monroe (the author of Out of Body Experience and Far Journeys) talked about. He called them ROTE (thought ball/thought energy/a packet of thought/total memory/information ball).
The next thought ball that I touched opened up a memory from many years ago, and the memory was one that I wished I could have elicited very different actions from me. But this time as the event replayed itself in my mind, I was actually there. I was in the thought ball reality as if it was happening. This time I changed my action to one that satisfied me. I changed it. As I got out of it it felt different. The event had changed. And I suddenly awoke.

Form a Mental Scene That Appears In Your Experience
What is Manifesting? It is the ability to form a mental picture or scene in your mind, and have it appear in your external real world after a few days or weeks or months. The way it is brought about in your external life is always via synchronized events that seems like coincidence. You may think “what a coincidence or ” it would have happened anyway”. Or you think some external thing or person did something and it leads (coincidentally) to the result you wanted. Yes they did, but they are not the original cause.
The real Cause of the manifestation is your Mind and Imagination. The real Cause is YOU. Everything that you experience is either a process leading to an outcome, or the outcome.
When you form the mental scene in your mind, you have no idea HOW to achieve your aim. Our conscious mind is always limited to the present moment and your surrounding. It is bounded by facts which you retain in your memory. It is also limited by your beliefs system.
Therefore, your Conscious Mind is always the one that stops you with doubts, whenever you make a goal that you want to achieve. It tells you “it is impossible”, “I can’t”, “I have never..”, “Nobody would allow…”, and endless “what if’s”. (If you want to learn the easy techniques to bypass all those limitations and excuses of your Conscious Mind, see here).
Now, all you know is the outcome you want. You know the WHAT, and you leave the HOW to your subconscious mind, which is Infinite Intelligence. It has ways and means that is inaccessible by your Conscious logical mind.
The Invisible World within is guiding the Visible Physical World. The real secret is, when you form a mental picture, you are creating something with an Intelligence and Influence of its own, it can influence people to act in a synchronized manner in time and space to bring about the fulfillment of your desire.
The idea is not to change your mental pictures too often. When you switch between contrasting imaginations, desires and goals, they are neutralizing each other out and you remain where you are. It is like take a step to the front, and another step back. That is why having a clear cut determined goal is crucial.
Manifesting requires a disciplined mind. In 2005, when I desired to move to a city centre apartment with great views, I imagined what I wanted, and after a few weeks I was given the opportunity to live in an apartment right in the city centre, with magnificent views better than I imagined, and with a lower rent. It has everything that I specified in my imagination. And I wasn’t even looking for an apartment, but it found me! One thing led to another, and within a few weeks I was living in it.
