Dreams are made for those who really take action and try. Dreams, visions, goals, they are a glimpse of a future possibility that exists as a potential in you. A vision is a premonition of a future probable reality. I used the word ‘probable’ because such a future reality depends on the actions you take from this present moment. Will you keep looking into that window of reality and aim towards it, or will you close it and choose another reality, or just continue to drift in your present condition?
Living in the physical world, we need a combination of vision, dreams and follow up with action.Without action, faith is futile. Without action, opportunities are wasted. Without action, regrets are certain. Because actions are the natural progression in the timeline of an event from vision to fact.
Actions can be Subconscious Action or Deliberate Conscious Action. Let me differentiate between the two. Deliberate action is when you take planned action to achieve something. It can be actions such as approaching, asking, investing money in something, buying a property, leaving a job, mastering a skill, etc. Subconscious action is when you are compelled or guided to do something, and then find out that the action was an important element in accomplishing your goal. But when you were compelled to take the action, you were unaware that it would have such an outcome.
Subconscious Action cannot be planned by your conscious mind, because it comes from guidance from your subconscious or superconscious mind. When such guidance seep into your conscious mind, you find a natural hunch to do something or say something. Subconscious Actions are often totally unrelated to the achievement of your goals. Perhaps one day you felt a hunch to use a different route to the city, and find yourself getting to know someone who would become instrumental to your success.
We can only focus on Deliberate Conscious Action in our daily lives. Highly successful people know the importance of massive action. Try and try again until you succeed. If you’re going to hit the bullseye, you got to keep firing over and over. Sooner or later you’ll hit it.
And here’s the trick for those without a strong imagination. The more Deliberate Conscious Action you take, the stronger a message you’re sending to your subconscious about what you want to achieve. This will soon allow your subconscious to guide you with Subconscious Action.
There is a place where dreams survive. A dream is a seed within you. A potential in you to create a probable future fact.
The great frontier is not space, but our mind. Mind is everywhere in the universe, even in space. Mind exists even outside of our space-time continuum. In mind, space and time is not linear. There is no linear progression of time because your mind can imagine the past, present and future as you choose. The reality of time is this eternal now. You have access to all time and space beyond your physical. There is a great network of mind, which I call the Universal Mind. This Mind is the cumulation of all the individual minds that exist. We can make contact with this Mind with meditation and mind training, and extract information from it. The information comes as a pure ‘knowing’. Sometimes you have a hunch that something is happening, you don’t know why or how you know it, you just knew. This is an example of connection to the Universal Mind. In reality, we are all part of the Universal Mind. We are not separate from it. But through our individuality, we perceive and think in terms of separation. We think in terms of “you and I”. To connect with Universal Mind, we need to think in terms of inclusion – Oneness.
The conditions you are experiencing in your life now are the contents in your subconscious mind pushed out.
If you could turn your subconscious mind inside out, what do you get? You get reflections that matches your current conditions. Man lives in his subconscious mind, which is his Subjective Reality.
If a man’s subconscious mind believes in Lack, he can only perceive and experience Lack in his outer world. If he is experiencing abundance and wealth, it means his subconscious thoughts are those of abundance and wealth at the moment. The study of New Thought and Metaphysics revealed to us that we can change our conditions by changing our powerful subconscious mind.
The subconscious is our Inner World. Our Outer World is a projection that matches our Internal World. Our physical actions to change our External World are futile, unless we first change our Inner World. Right actions that produce results are actually inspired subconsciously.
The subconscious is power, the conscious is direction. In ancient times, the subconscious is called The Female Aspect, while the conscious is The Male Aspect. The female appears weak, but inwardly she is enduring and powerful. She has the power of influence over the actions of men. The female symbol is water – soft, adapting to its surrounding, yet the ocean and rivers are powerful forces that can submerge the entire world.
The male appears strong, but inwardly he is quick to change his mind and direction. The male symbol is Fire. The male must make his own decision and then slowly persuade and influence the woman into a decision. Likewise, the Conscious Mind must make a new decision to create new thoughts, in order to influence the Subconscious to change. It is said, the male’s drive for power and success is so that he can please the female. The male symbol is fire. Fire is quick to start and spread, but can also be wiped out quickly, especially by water. Fire can heat up water, but it takes persistence and time. Likewise, to influence our subconscious is like the male trying to win over the female. He must do so by gentle persuasion, consistency and persistence. A man changes his decision quickly, but when a woman is finally influenced, she is slow to change her mind.
There are plenty of symbology for the subconscious mind. The biblical flood is a symbology of the flood of facts. The subconscious (female aspect) which symbol is water, has the power to flood your world with facts. We are submerged by facts (which we call “conditions” or “reality”) once it is set in motion. Once you are in the flood, you can only take inventory of your thoughts, keep the good ones alive in a place with 3 decks (the Ark). The 3 decks are the Spiritual, Psychological and Physical of our Being. Once the flood subsides, you are then able to create your world anew.

There are a few things you can do each day to improve your control of your mind. It will help you improve your ability to concentrate. Besides that, it will also put you in a state of wellbeing for you to think good thoughts and influence your subconscious mind to manifest your goals.
1. Avoid caffeine. Both coffee and tea puts caffeine into your body. So you think caffeine will give you a mental and physical ‘boost’ and make you more awake. Do you know why? According to Dr Robert Young a microbiologist who is an expert of the blood, he says our body identifies caffeine as a poison in our bloodstream. It then wakes up the immune system to work faster to get rid of the caffeine from our bloodstream. When our immune system wakes up and works on red alert mode, we feel the rush which we think is giving us a boost.
But in fact, caffeine tends to create hypertension, hyperactivity and most importantly it creates restlessness. If you are not used to taking caffeine, and you drink a cup of coffee right before bedtime, you will know what I mean. It makes the conscious mind restless and reduces concentration. And concentration and a state of calm are they keys to influencing your subconscious mind.
2. Build Up And Accumulate A High Level Of Life Energy. When your energy is low, you are vibrating at a lower frequency that aligns you with negative thoughts and emotions. Think of someone who is happy and optimistic, do they have a high or low level of energy? Think of someone who is depressed and pessimistic, do they have high or low energy?
3. Reduce stress in your daily life. I think we all know by now that stress is never good for our mental and physical health. Stress drains away a huge amount of mental and physical energy that we could instead use for our manifesting work. The brain needs a certain level of energy reserve to be able to think clearly. Depression is often a symptom of prolonged mental or physical stress, ie, the symptom of low energy reserve.
4. Get adequate sleep each night. Sleep deprivation can diminish your ability to think clearly. If you lose 2 hours of sleep, you will need more than 2 hours more sleep the next day to make up for it. Lack of sleep causes sluggishness of thought and physiology.
5. Spend quiet time meditating or doing ‘mental work’. Practising meditation and doing mental work especially at night before you go to bed is the best habit you can have to improve your manifesting skills. When the brain is working on Beta mode, we are in a state of normal waking hour thinking. In Beta, our Conscious Mind is very active and we create a lot of ‘mental noise’. We need to train ourselves to go into another state of mind in order to do mental work for manifesting. We can either go to Alpha or Delta. In my ebook “Secrets Techniques Of Manifesting And Creating With Imagination”, I teach a very simple technique you can train daily to go into Alpha state of mind. If you have read my books, you will notice that I have used the Alpha state to help me achieve many of my goals and desires in the past.
The difference between ordinary state of Beta versus Alpha is this. For example, you can think a positive thought or give an instruction to your subconscious mind 20 times in Beta, and it will not compare to giving that same instruction to your subconscious mind JUST ONCE in Alpha.
If you would like to learn to go into a deeper state than Alpha, you can learn to go into Delta, which is even more powerful. I have been training myself to go into Delta state by using a very powerful training program which I highly recommend to anyone who wishes to improve their manifesting skills. You can learn more about it here : Training In Delta State Of Mind.
There you have it, these are the 5 easy things you can do to improve your mind and manifesting skills. There are of course others, but for today’s short blog article, I think these 5 will ge enough to get you started. Just browsing through my diary and I recalled this incident. In 2005 when I moved to Sydney for work, I got the lease to my first rental apartment with 2 rooms, which I attracted by using my imagination (the story of how I got it was revealed in an earlier blog entry). I tried to rent out the 2nd room to reduce the amount of rent I was paying. And I wanted to rent the room for $215 per week. I determined the qualities of the type of tenant I wanted. I wanted to have someone clean, honest, quiet, preferably a student and a non-smoker. The technique I used was one of a method I now teach in my book ‘Secret Techniques For Manifesting’.
Within a few days, a young male international student called me, expressing interest to inspect the apartment. That night he came and he was the type of person that fitted my criteria for a good tenant. But as he was about to leave he began to negotiate the rent. He said he only wanted to spend $200 on rent each week, and asked that we split the utility bills. He was a very good negotiator and as I didn’t want to lose such a good prospective tenant, I reluctantly agreed. We agreed to sign the contract and for him to get the keys from me on a Thursday. It was then a Monday.
After he left, I reconsidered it and thought $200 per week was a bit low, considering I owned all the furniture in the apartment, and I had paid a lot of money on the security bond to the agent to secure the lease. I did more mental work over the next 2 days.
On Thursday, I decided I should renegotiate with him when I meet him again that night, to try to get the original rent I advertised for.
But something amazing happened. I met him on the main street to pass him the keys and to collect his deposit money (he was scheduled to move in on that Saturday). I was all ready to renegotiate the rent with him. But before I could open my mouth to get to the topic, he said,
“Charlie, I have something I want to tell you. I want to pay you $215 rent that you asked for.”
I was stunned by his statement, and I was very curious why he changed his mind. I asked him why.
He continued, “I spoke with my mum yesterday on the phone about renting this room, and she told me to pay you the rent you originally asked for, to include the utility bills in the rent. Is this ok? “
I didn’t even have to open my mouth to renegotiate at all. My subconscious mind synchronized the result, by getting his mum to tell him what I was mentally telling him.

When you train your mind to function at a deeper state, you can make your intents manifest at a shorter interval of time. When you have learned how to enter into that deeper state of concentration, you can give your subconscious an instruction and it will be carried out to the letter for you – in a very mysterious way. You can use it in such a way that you subconsciously control other people’s action and thoughts, to solve your everyday problems and to achieve your dreams.
It was the year 2005, when I first moved to Sydney to work, I was temporarily renting a room from a girl who needed someone to fill in one of her empty room in her apartment. Her name was Carol and her boyfriend rented the apartment for her, while he lived in another apartment. To help her pay the rent, she sublet the 2nd room out to make ends meet. I had an agreement with her that my rent also covered the utility bills.
When I found another place to live, I told Carol I wanted to move out in 2 weeks time. She agreed to it and said she would return my bond money when I moved out. But 3 days before I was moving out, her boyfriend came, sat me down and told me because I was not giving him 1 months notice, he was not going to return me the security bond. I reasoned with him that my agreement with Carol stated that only 2 weeks was required. He disagreed, saying she was “stupid”, and that he was the holder of the lease and that he should have the final decision. He said he would give my bond back if I found someone to take over my lease. He said he had been posting advertisements and notices in universities for 1 week, and not one person responded. Because I was moving out in 2 days time, I didn’t have any time to spare. I quickly put up notices in the city to try to get someone.
I affirmed that I have found the perfect person to take over my lease. The first day, nothing happened. On the 2nd day, I began to get worried. But I kept doing mental work, using various methods (you can learn some of the methods in my book Secret Techniques For Manifesting). That evening, a British backpacker called me wanting to inspect the apartment immediately. I showed him the place and he agreed to move in the next day – the same day that I was supposed to move out. And he agreed to pay $20 more per week, as I tried to help Carol out by advertising a higher rent.
But in the morning of the following day, when I informed Carol’s boyfriend that I have kept my part of the bargain to find a tenant to take over my lease, I asked him to confirm if he would be keeping his end of the bargain by returning my full security bond of 2 weeks rent. He said “I’ll talk to you this evening”.
That statement worried me. My hunch told me that he was playing some game and would not be keeping his end of the bargain. I was at my office when I called him, and I decided to take things into my control. Sitting at my desk, I went into a deep state of mind for a while and instructed my subconscious mind to “ensure that I get my full bond back tonight if he tries to break his end of the bargain”. I made sure my subconscious mind understood the instruction.
That night, after I moved my things out of the apartment, I went back to the apartment to get my bond back from Carol’s boyfriend. He was there, but Carol wasn’t there. So he said, “Tell you what Charlie, I have decided to keep your bond. That will cover for the utility bills for your share.” (eventhough he knew from Carol that my rent included utlities).
As I started a heated debate with him, suddenly an inner voice in my mind said to me:
“Stop arguing and get out of here. You have the money! You have the bond money from the British guy, and he knows you have it but he has temporarily forgotten to collect it from you! Stop the conversation and leave now!”
It was a voice I heard internally, as though my subconscious was giving me direct instructions what to do. Then I remembered, a day earlier, when the British backpacker expressed interest to move in, Carol’s boyfriend asked for bond money ( amounting to 2 weeks rent) from him. But the British guy said he needed to go to the ATM to get the cash. And as he went to find a ATM, Carol and her boyfriend decided to go out for dinner and told me to collect the bond money on their behalf and pass it to them the next day. But now in his state of greed to confiscate my bond and to break his end of the bargain, he has totally forgotten to ask from me the British guy’s bond money, although he has acknowledged to the British guy that the bond is paid! In summary, he thought he could swindle me of my bond money, while in effect he had forgotten to collect a slightly larger sum of money from me.
I followed my subconscious prompting, stopped arguing and left. As I was leaving I said “I won’t forget this! You think you’ve won, but you haven’t.” As I was waiting for a taxi downstairs with my bags, he came down arrogantly to walk to his car, thinking he had won. That night, I was amazed how the event had unfolded and my instruction to my subconscious was carried out to the letter. I now had my bond back, despite his intention not to return it to me.
The next day, Carol phoned me and she was very apologetic for her boyfriend’s bad behaviour, told me she would return the bond money to me herself. I then told her I still had the British tenant’s bond money which was more than my own bond, and I would return to her the difference.
If you recall the instruction that I gave to my subconscious, to synchronise the sequence of events so that I would get my full bond money back from Carol boyfriend who was intending to break his promise to return it to me. As the events unfolded, he developed temporary amnesia about the bond money that he asked me to collect from his new tenant on his behalf, thereby indirectly leading me to get hold of the bond money that he owed me.
This is an example of how mental influence works. Your subconscious mind can do wonders, it can protect you from dishonest people and make things right. It can help you solve problems in your daily life.

An iceberg is a good metaphor of our Mind. More than 80% of the iceberg is under the surface of water. We have a Conscious part of the Mind and a Subconscious part. They are not 2 different minds per se, but different functions of the One Mind that we have. Our Conscious Mind(logical mind) is the part of the iceberg that is above water, while a much bigger function/part of our mind- our Subconscious Mind, is submerged. The subconscious is submerged because its capabilities, potentials and functionings are carried out at an unconscious level. Not only that, our Subconscious has vast powers that we could never imagine.
The Conscious Mind is the part of our mind that is doing the logical present moment thinking and analysis. We are aware of the present moment and we think with our Conscious Mind.
The Subconsious Mind on the other hand is whatever thoughts, information, memory, emotions in our mind that we are not consciously aware of at this moment. Many authors and researchers like to think of our Subconscious mind as the storehouse of our mind. Every experience, thoughts and emotions that we ever had is stored in there in the form of subconscious memory. The Subconscious also keeps our heart beating, blinks our eyelids, make us salivate, make us sweat, and controls all other bodily functions that we do not need to think of.
In reality, there is a faint line of distinction between using our conscious and subconscious mind. Riding a bicycle may seem like a conscious act, but the automatic balancing of the bicycle is in fact a subconscious automated reaction gained from past experience and learning. But when you press the brakes to stop at the lights, that is conscious reaction. Unless if you reacted by impulse, it is then a subconscious impulse.
How does information and learning get stored into the subconscious? The subconscious stores by repetition and emotion. The higher the intensity of the emotion (either good or bad), the stronger the impression of the accompanied thought.
Our Subconscious Mind is somewhat like a manager, a very good one at that. Yet aside from keeping our bodily functions running, it has no discretion and direction of its own in terms of what you want to achieve in life. It takes commands from your Conscious Logical Mind, which is the Decision Maker.
In future blog entries, I will relate several experiences of mine where I used my Subconscious to find lost objects, get job offers, make money and achieving goals.
